Just looking back on the past year and would like to thank everyone who made this year so enjoyable. All of our boarders and their families, students, parents, clients who purchased horses, Erin and Sheila thank you for making this year a memorable one.
Highlights and wonderful memories created include........
Welcoming little Ripley and Oh Henry into the world and watching them grow and in Ripley's case and grow and grow some more over the summer. For those of you who do not know Brittany purchased Oh Henry and has big big plans for him in the future.
Brittany and Oscars change over from the hunter division into the jumper division. For those who know Brit and Oscar their road over the years has not been the easiest but all that hard work paid off this year when Oscar found his true calling and has turned into the superstar Brittany always knew he was. Under the coaching of Lindsay Bradshaw they had a very successful show season and I cannot wait to see what next year brings for this pair.
My homebred CSHA gelding Trystin being started under saddle and starting his show career. For those of you who know little Trystin he is personality personified. With his tireless energy and incredible athletic abilities he kept everyone on their toes and helped me out with a broken ankle to boot! Trystin has been sold and has a wonderful new partner, Mary Lomas, and although I was ever so sad to see him go I know he is in great hands with Mary and look forward to seeing them accomplish great things in the future.
The arrival of little Harry Trotter who made his debut at the local hunter shows with a bang and who has won Carries heart. She is learning that ponies can be little monsters but they can also be best friends.
The Canadian Sport Horse National Foal Championships and mare inspection held in September. Hopefully this will become an annual event and give sport horse breeders an arena to show case their beautiful mares and foals and support the breeding industry in the Maritimes.
Zoe and Jordana's purchase of their first horses and best friends Rayne and Ty. What an experience owning your first horse can be and these two young ladies are enjoying every minute of it.
Watching my baby's Argentina's belly grow and grow as we eagerly anticipate the arrival of her first foal next spring.
The arrival of Bogart, my long awaited and long searched for new partner. Proof positive once again that ex racers deserve new careers.
Last but not least is Katia's purchase of her wonderful new partner, the 4 year old black Dutch Warmblood mare Zett. Katia lost her best friend Zeppy last winter and it is so good to hear her laughter and see her smile again when she is working with Zett.
Once again a heart felt thank you to all who contributed to this wonderful past year we are looking forward to next year and to new memories and accomplishments for everyone.
Level III dressage coach Erin MacQuarrie will be here to give a one day clinic. Please contact Sandra for details if you would like to participate.
The CSHA National Foal Championships were a great success the weather finally cooperated and a fun day was had by all. There were several gorgeous mares presented at the mare inspection in the morning and in the broodmare class in the afternoon and eight equally gorgeous foals who were all awarded premiums with very complimentary comments from the inspector about the high quality of the foals bred in the Maritimes. Hopefully next year we will have an even bigger turn out. Thank you for all who participated and made the day such a huge success. $230.00 was also raised to be donated to Greyhound Pets of Atlantic Canada a big thank you to all who contributed to this very worthwhile cause.

During the CSHA show representatives from Greyhound Pets of Atlantic Canada will be on site with some of their wonderful greys. GPAC is a non profit organization that is dedicated to placing retired greyhounds into loving homes across Atlantic Canada. If you have never had the opportunity to meet one of these loving, graceful, gentle dogs now is your chance. If you would like to learn more about adopting or fostering a retired grey GPAC's website is http://www.gpac.ca/
Both Trystin and Harry Trotter attended the show at Carmaz Stables. Trystin was champion in the Intro Hunter division and Reserve Champion in the 2'6 division. Not bad for his second show. Harry Trotter was his usual wonderful little self and was third and fourth over fences in the Low Hunter division and 6th in the hack. Erica King on Major also brought home her first red ribbon over fences on her wonderful gelding Major. Thanks again to Brittany and Michele.
Rayne is a lovely 16'1 hand chestnut tb mare who is also 4 years old. She has a super sweet puppy dog personality and should also be destined for a career in the hunter ring or possibly as an eventer.
Keep on eye on the For Sale page for more photos and information on Leo and Rayne.
